The Virtue of Humility

Also known as: Humbleness

Awareness that all our gifts come from God and appreciation for the gifts of others

  • Taking time for prayer; particularly a prayer of gratitude
  • Allowing others to go ahead of you in line; taking the last place
  • Thinking of others before yourself
  • Shaking someone’s hand who did a good job
  • Smiling when someone else gets a good grade
  • Jesus, thank you for all the blessings you have given me.
  • You can go ahead of me.
  • Would you like this seat?
  • You did a really good job.
  • You are really good at that! Great job!
