Introducing the Lumen Ecclesiae Learning Portal

Online Courses by the Dominican Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist!

In the footsteps of Saint Dominic, the Dominican Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist have broadened their classroom. The Lumen Ecclesiae Learning Portal is a place for you, your children, and/or students to participate in courses taught by the Sisters. The educational and catechetical content is instructive, engaging, and professionally produced. We invite you to preview the demo videos for both courses that launched this fall.

Take a sneak peek at the witness video from the Moderation unit coming soon to Cultivating the Virtues | God Gives the Growth . Watch and learn about the life of Blessed Carlo Acutis, the new patron of the internet!

Founded in 2013, Disciple of Christ, Education in Virtue has been supporting educators, parents, schools, and dioceses in teaching youth about the joy of living the virtuous life.  With trust in the Lord, during this time of uncertainty, we have undertaken an ambitious endeavor in developing the Lumen Ecclesiae Learning PortalWe want to be present to those committed to our mission and continue to assist them in any way we can.

We, the Dominican Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist, are developing two inaugural courses, Cultivating the Virtues | God Gives the Growth and Life of Christ Lectio Divina Companion, to support online and onsite learning.

Recognizing the complexities of the upcoming academic year, we would like you to work with us in three ways:

  1. Spread the positive news about these courses.
  2. Pray for us as we and our staff work diligently to have all the resources ready for the school year.  (We have to maintain a sense of humor because it requires enormous attention to detail!)
  3. Consider making a donation to enable us to provide Cultivating the Virtues FREE to schools, parishes, and families for this academic year (and perhaps always).
